- 3 whole garlic cloves
- 1/3 c. pine nuts (can substitute walnuts)
- 2 c. fresh basil leaves
- ½ c. extra virgin olive oil
- ½ c. grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper, to taste
Chop garlic and pine nuts in a food processor. Pulse a few times.
Add the basil and pulse a few more times.
Add olive oil slowly while food processor is running.
Scrape down the sides of the processor; add the grated cheese, pulse again to blend.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over pasta or bruschetta.
