Maple Glazed Nuts

Great for salads or just as a snack. PRINT


  • 2 c. walnuts or pecans, halved
  • 1/3 c. pure maple syrup
  • 1/8 tsp. salt


Sift nuts to remove excess “dust.” Set aside.
Preheat a skillet over medium ­high heat.
Add the nuts, syrup and salt.
Cook, stirring frequently, until syrup is caramelized and no liquid remains, about 3 minutes.
Be sure to watch closely so it doesn’t scorch.
Transfer to a baking sheet and quickly spread out with a fork.
Let cool completely, then store in an airtight container.
