Seared Turkey Burgers

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp. garlic paste
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix.
Heat a heavy-bottomed skillet to medium-high.
Once pan is hot, put about 1 tsp. butter and 1 tsp. olive oil in the bottom to melt and heat.
Press turkey mixture into patties and place gently in hot pan. Do not move once you set it down- this will help create a nice sear.
Let cook approximately 5 minutes and then flip.
Cook about 5 minutes more or until thermometer reads 165 degrees. Do not cut open to check.  It will release too many juices and you will end up with dry burgers.
Serve with your choice of cheese, toppings and condiments.
